Is Your Business Searchable?

In the Digital Age we have become accustomed to having access to information and keeping current with what is important to us. Because of the huge influence the internet has on society, it isn't surprising that many businesses are using digital mediums to reach customers? In today’s world, it is vital that customers are able to find you online, because as the joke goes, if you can’t find it on Google, it doesn't exist.

So how does your business rank when it comes to being searchable? Go ahead and Google your business to see if you are easily found. If your business is not coming up within the first two pages of the search results, consider your search-ability to be in the non-existent. Chitika conducted a study and found that 91.5% of all users clicked links on the first page, the second page only accounted for 4.8%, which is a clear sign that getting found on the first page is the key to marketing your business effectively.

Next, try to think like a potential client and do a search for your business using only key words such as “screen printing near Ogden” or “screen printing company”. How is your business pulling up?  If you are not finding yourself easily, neither are your clients.
What this implies is that if you aren't being found online, you are missing out on sales.

In a future blog we will tell you how to digitize your business and be discovered.
